The tradition of making rosettes arrived this Thursday to the town of Caleta Caballo, in Teguise, with the realization of a workshop in which the participants learned to perform this historical technique.
The rosette is a fine needle lace work, genuine to the Canary Islands, which still survives in Tenerife and Lanzarote. The work is done on a "pique", which is a round base with pins where the thread is crossed.
Under the motto "Traditional techniques giving it a current use", the participants were able to make the rosettes as "dream catchers".
