The Arrecife City Council held a minute of silence this Monday at 12:00 hours in memory of the 38-year-old woman who died in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in a new episode of gender violence. The act of rejection, convened by the Canary Islands Federation of Municipalities (Fecam), took place at the doors of the capital's Consistory.

The Councilor for Social Services, Victoria Sande, stated that "we must be united, administrations, political forces and civil society to combat this scourge."

In this way, the Arrecife City Council wanted to join the expressions of solidarity and support for the family and friends of the victim.
