The residents of the Argana Alta neighborhood celebrated this Friday the festivity of their patron saint, Our Lady Mary Help of Christians. At six in the afternoon, the Eucharist began, presided over by the parish priest Manuel Arencibia, which was enlivened with the songs of the parish choir of San Francisco Javier.

The parish facilities were too small to accommodate all the neighbors and those who came from other parts of the city to share such a special day for Argana Alta,

Once the Eucharist was finished, the procession through the streets of the neighborhood began, presided over by the image of Our Lady Mary Help of Christians. Next to the Virgin were the celebrating priest, the boys and girls who have received their First Communion this year, municipal authorities such as the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, and the Councilor for Festivities, Echedey Eugenio.

Road safety during the processional route was directed by the personnel of Civil Protection of Arrecife. At the end of the procession, and as is customary among the residents of Argana Alta and collaborators, everyone was able to share a succulent snack with varied homemade pastries made by the community.

The parish priest Manuel Arencibia thanked everyone for their attendance and collaboration, which is so necessary in these special celebrations such as the big day of the patron saint of the neighborhood, Our Lady Mary Help of Christians.
