Maritime Rescue rescued another boat near the coasts of Lanzarote at dawn, around 2:25 a.m., according to the Emergency Consortium.

There were about 28 people on board, 26 men, a woman and a minor, of Maghreb origin. All have been rescued in good health, so no transfer was necessary. They have been taken to Puerto Naos where they have been attended by the Red Cross.

The event occurred in territorial waters, 9.5 nautical miles northeast of the island, when the boat was detected by the 'Helimer 204' and 112 was notified, after a call from an occupant of the boat. A 'Helimer 204' helicopter was also activated for the rescue.

This is the third boat that has arrived on the island in the last 48 hours, in which 113 people have already been rescued in waters near Lanzarote.
