The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has extended the yellow alert for strong surf until this Saturday in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

Initially, Aemet had set the alert until 01:59 AM this Friday, but has decided to **reactivate it from 06:00 AM this Saturday until 23:59** of the same day, given the forecast that the swell will continue on both islands

Thus, a combined northwest sea is expected with waves between four and five meters high, especially in the northern part of the island

On Friday, cloudy spells are expected with light and scattered precipitation during the first half of the day; light showers, which could be locally moderate, are expected in the afternoon. Temperatures will experience few changes, with lows of 14 degrees and highs of 20. The northwest wind will blow light to moderate, intensifying slightly in the afternoon and veering north.
