A ship with material to shoot the film "In the Heart of the Sea" by Ron Howard in Lanzarote has suspended its entry to the port of Arrecife due to the adverse weather conditions hitting the island. The film crew is already in Lanzarote and was planning to start shooting on Friday.

The Bencomo vessel, which was coming from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on a special service, had to dock in Morro Jable and will most likely arrive in Lanzarote via Corralejo-Playa Blanca, according to the Port Authority of Las Palmas.

The filming of this blockbuster, starring "Thor" actor Chris Hemsworth, is scheduled to begin on Friday in the El Golfo area and last approximately one week.

In addition to this ship, the storm has also affected the entry of the Armas ship, which had to abandon its anchorage and finally went to Las Palmas due to the impossibility of docking in Arrecife.

The cruise ship "Hamburg" has also suspended its arrival at the Arrecife port, while the Aida Blu, which was scheduled to arrive this Thursday, has announced its intention to delay its arrival until Friday. For its part, the Aida Vita, which was going to arrive on the island on Friday, has changed its forecast to Saturday due to the storm.
