The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has deactivated at 2 p.m. this Tuesday the rain alert that it had declared in Lanzarote, La Graciosa and Fuerteventura, when it included these islands in the forecast that it had for the entire archipelago.

The alert had been activated from 3 a.m. this Tuesday for the entire Canary Islands, although the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency did not contemplate rain on this island or on the neighboring island either. In fact, Aemet had only activated the yellow warning for rain on the islands of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as well as in Gran Canaria.

However, the Emergency Department extended the alert to the entire archipelago, as it has done on other occasions.

Finally, after no rain was recorded even during the early morning or during the morning in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, that alert has already been deactivated at noon.

As for the rest of the archipelago, where there has been rainfall, although less than expected, it has moved to a pre-alert situation, which could be lifted at 6 p.m. according to Aemet's forecasts. Regarding the pre-alert for electrical storms, it has also been deactivated.
