A patrol boat with R&D&I that has been built in Spain and will be used by the Government of Guinea Bissau to patrol its coasts stopped this weekend in Lanzarote, specifically in Puerto del Carmen, on its way to its country of destination.
The boat, which is named 'Ocante Bunung' and has been built by Astilleros de Bermeo, is 16.80 meters long and has two 620 HP engines and will be used by the Fisheries Surveillance Service of Guinea Bissau (FISCAP).
According to the company, after the fishing agreement between the EU and the Government of Guinea Bissau, this country launched a tender to acquire boats for fishing and fisheries inspection, which was won by Astilleros de Bermeo and which includes the construction of this patrol boat and another that also stopped in Lanzarote three years ago.
