Maritime Rescue has rescued a new precarious boat near the island, according to the Emergency Consortium.
Only 5 sub-Saharan migrants were traveling in the inflatable boat. This is the seventh boat that has reached the coasts of Lanzarote, five have been located by Maritime Rescue and a sixth has arrived by its own means to the Jameos area in the north of the island.
In total, nearly 300 people have arrived in the seven boats. They have been transferred to Puerto Naos where they have been attended by Red Cross volunteers.
