Daniel Delgado from Lanzarote, artistic name Sifer, has been proclaimed the best dancer in Spain after winning the National Final of Red Bull Dance Your Style, held last weekend in the Marina of Valencia. Now, this resident of the Arrecife neighborhood of San Francisco Javier will represent Spain in the World Final in Johannesburg (South Africa).
His popping movements and charisma "managed to win over the public from his first steps on the track" and, thus, he won the majority of votes in all his battles, according to the organization of the event in a statement.
This is precisely how the "biggest improvised dance competition of the moment" works: to reward the dancer who best connects with the audience and manages to "transmit their energy and passion for street dance, as well as make everyone present happy through their choreographies".
Sifer was the favorite of the more than 300 people who enjoyed the National Final, after defeating Angelock in a tight final duel and taking the pass to represent Spain in the World Final of Red Bull Dance Your Style, which will take place in Johannesburg (South Africa) next December.
The event also featured the performance of Dii Feeling, Inox and Izaskun - judges during the first auditions of the championship in different dance schools - and the surprise exhibition of Viki Gómez, six-time champion of the flatland discipline of BMX acrobatics, who dueled with the master of ceremonies, Álvaro Funkestein.
The soundtrack of the event was in the hands of DJ Rokko, in charge of testing the ability of the participants to adapt to the rhythm of songs of any genre and era.
