The Canary Islands Health Research Institute (IISC), through the Canary Islands Health Research Institute Foundation (FIISC), attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, announces grants for the intensification of research activity with the aim of incorporating physicians, specialists, university graduates or graduates in Nursing, Dentistry or Physiotherapy into public centers of the Canary Islands Health Service, to carry out part of the clinical-assistance activity of professionals who, at the same time, carry out research activities.
This action aims, on the one hand, to enhance the critical mass of healthcare professionals who combine research activities to transfer knowledge to patients and to generate research hypotheses from clinical practice and, on the other hand, to encourage the participation of SCS healthcare personnel in research activities and promote research oriented towards the patient and the population.
The grants awarded will be used to finance employment contracts, under any form of contracting in accordance with current regulations. Intensification may be requested for a period of one year depending on the years pending execution of the active project supporting the application.
These subsidies will allow for employment in 2026, for the time equivalent to the release of 50% of the annual clinical workload of the personnel who will replace the candidate.
The financial allocation paid by FIISC-IISC will be 30,000 euros per year for medical personnel and 20,000 euros per year for Nursing or Physiotherapy personnel, including the employer's Social Security contribution, which will be released as a single payment.
Those interested in applying for this call for grants can submit their application online through the FIISC website (www.fciisc.org) in the Intensification Call section, located in the Notice Board..
