The Sociocultural Association La Vida es Zuaina has called a "football league" in a vacant lot in Argana Alta. The objective of this event is to denounce the "lack of public, sports, leisure and free access spaces" in the neighborhood of the capital of Lanzarote.

In a statement, the association denounces that more than 2,500 young people live in Argana Alta who demand "a public court in the most populated neighborhood of Lanzarote".

The call will be on May 9 at 5:50 p.m., at the CEIP Argana Alta, at the main entrance of Calle Campoamor, to walk from there to the vacant lot where the game will take place at the end of the same street.

It should be remembered that the Argana Alta pavilion was closed in 2013 "temporarily" because it had been operating for years without an opening license. In addition, its concession was the subject of a judicial process for having been granted by a rigged contest through bribes to different political officials, including the former mayor of Arrecife, María Isabel Déniz.

Now, the current Government Group of the Arrecife City Council has promised to reopen the Argana Alta pavilion in the fall of this year.
