During these last days, a video of illegal motorcycle races has circulated on social networks in the north of Lanzarote, specifically on the LZ-10 road that crosses the town of Los Valles.
In the images, two motorcyclists can be seen riding on this road where the speed limit is 40 kilometers per hour, but it can be appreciated that both reach almost 200 kilometers per hour.
Furthermore, at a certain moment, they overtake a car at high speed that is circulating correctly, putting their safety and that of the other drivers at risk.
Likewise, this road has sharp curves and homes next to it, which increases the danger from these reckless driving behaviors.
These types of recklessness can lead to jail sentences as it is a very serious offense. This crime is punishable by prison sentences of between three and six months or fines of six to twelve months of community service. Also by the revocation of the driving license for one to four years.
