The French newspaper Le Figaro has echoed a video published on the social network TikTok where several tourists queue from early in the morning to get a sunbed in the pool of a hotel in Costa Teguise.
The recording shows how guests compete for a free sunbed to get the best spot.
The comments in this video published on social networks describe this panorama as "pathetic and ridiculous." Some even joke: "Is this a relaxing vacation?" And some choose to walk rather than wait. "I prefer to take a walk to relax than spend 30 minutes waiting for a sunbed," according to an internet user.
However, these long waiting lines to enjoy the sun in this hotel are not justified, since according to a tourist, "it seems that there are enough sunbeds for all visitors."
In addition, some hotel chains set rules that prohibit leaving their belongings to reserve sunbeds, something that has already triggered fights as La Voz already published a few months ago.
