Around forty people have demonstrated this Friday morning on Avenida Fred Olsen in Arrecife to demand an improvement in the labor rights of health emergency technicians.
Specifically, they are asking for a modification of the agreement for TES so that it is "dignified" and so that they are recognized as a professional category.
In fact, these technicians earn salaries that range between 1,100 euros and 1,300 euros, a salary that is insufficient for the work they do and which often does not allow them to make ends meet.
Iván Carlos Pérez, from the Federation of Health Technicians and Professionals (FTPS) in Lanzarote, warned that salary precariousness causes a constant brain drain of professionals to other sectors with better working conditions. He criticized that many health transport workers receive salaries that barely reach the Interprofessional Minimum Wage.
