The Directorate General of Emergencies, based on the prediction of AEMET and other available sources, and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena PEFMA, has raised to alert for high temperatures in Lanzarote Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Gran Canaria.

For this Tuesday, September 15, very high temperatures are expected in Lanzarote, especially in inland areas and south-facing slopes, with temperatures potentially reaching or exceeding 37º degrees locally.

The episode will be accompanied by dust, more significant in the eastern province during Tuesday, tending to subside in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura at the end of the day.

For Wednesday 16, a progressive moderation of temperatures is expected, although high values and heat warnings will remain in some sectors, so monitoring of meteorological evolution will continue.
