The Timanfaya National Park, in Lanzarote, remained the fourth most visited in the country, despite losing almost 66,000 visitors compared to the previous year. The figures place this space as the second most visited in the Canary Islands, only behind the Teide National Park, which year after year occupies first place and welcomed more than 5.2 million in 2024.

Throughout 2024, **Timanfaya** once again surpasses the threshold of one million annual visitors, ranking only behind the national parks of **Teide** (over 5.2 million), Sierra de Guadarrama (over 2.4 million), and Picos de Europa (over 1.6 million), and ahead of Garajonay (over 1.3 million)

The geographical and climatic location of the Canary Islands means that visitors are spread throughout the year, with peaks in summer, but with a constant flow of visitors in spring and autumn. In contrast, other areas such as Ordesa y Monte Perdido or Picos de Europa concentrate more than half of their visitors in the months of July and August.

Thus, Timanfaya accounts for 9.3% of the total visits to the national park network. In comparison, Teide National Park received 32.7% of visitors, Sierra de Guadarrama 15.02%, Picos de Europa 10.2%, and Garajonay Park 8.44%.
