The works of the new children's leisure area of Tahíche have already been completed. The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, and the vice president and head of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, recently visited the new children's leisure park in Tahíche, located on Tomás Iriarte street.

The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, and the municipal Works councilor, Eugenio Robayna, also attended the visit, who showed the council leaders the result of this work. “We are pleased to know the completion of this work so demanded by the citizens of Tahíche, who now have this new leisure enclave in the vicinity of the 'University School of Tourism'”, Betancort assured.

For this work, the Cabildo invested, through the 'Municipal Cooperation Plans', an amount that amounts to almost "300,000 euros." “This work is yet another example of the inter-administrative cooperation that we offer so that the municipalities enjoy new places for recreation and social gathering,” Medina explained.

The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, stated that “these works are part of an ambitious comprehensive plan to renovate all the parks and sports and leisure spaces throughout the municipality. It is extremely important to renovate these facilities and equip them with more modern and safe elements. In short, we are committed to creating pleasant places and environments where families can enjoy moments of outdoor leisure.”

The Councilor for Roads and Works, Eugenio Robayna, pointed out that “the residents of Tahiche can now enjoy this renovated leisure park where we have installed a new pavement and have created different shade spaces with bio-healthy elements, modern urban and sports furniture, as well as a bicycle parking lot."

This work is one of the three major interventions that the Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the 'Municipal Cooperation Plan', has carried out in the municipality of Teguise for the renovation of sports courts and children's leisure areas, with an investment that amounts to almost "460,000 euros."
