The National Police celebrates the 'Day of the Guardian Angels' in Lanzarote

A mass has been celebrated in San Ginés and later the institutional act took place in the RCNA

Arrecife hosted this Monday the celebration of the National Police for the Day of the Holy Guardian Angels, patron saint of the police force. A commemorative day that took place at 11.00 hours in the church of San Ginés, with the respective mass.

Among those attending the event within the police force were the Chief Commissioner of the National Police in Arrecife, José Luis Gutiérrez, members of the National Police, as well as civil representatives, military commanders and local police from Lanzarote, who did not want to miss such a significant event for the police force.

On behalf of the institutions, the president of the Canary Islands Parliament, Ástrid Pérez, the Deputy Delegate of the Government, María Teresa Mayans, the Mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León and different councillors as well as members of the Cabildo also attended.

Subsequently, an institutional act was held at the Real Club Naútico, which closed the celebration of this special day for the security forces.

 Astrid Pérez stressed that her presence at this celebration is a way to "pay a heartfelt and sincere tribute to the men and women who every day ensure our safety and face the worst situations to guarantee coexistence and respect for the law. For a modern society it is essential to have security forces of the prestige and professionalism of our National Police".
