In a magical night, full of solidarity and hope, the VII Gran Gala Pequeño Valiente, held on Saturday at the Gran Canaria Arena, paid tribute to the Líneas Romero Foundation, among other entities and companies, for its outstanding collaboration and commitment to the Fundación Canaria Pequeño Valiente. The event, directed by the renowned journalist Roberto Herrera and broadcast live on La 2 de TVE Canarias, brought together personalities, artists and an audience dedicated to supporting the fight against childhood cancer.

In this edition, the Gala has broken records with 81,650 euros in donations and more than 3,000 tickets for the show offered on Saturday night.

Federico Romero, president of the Líneas Romero Foundation, was in charge of collecting the award. This is a recognition of the entity's involvement with the well-being of families with cancer patients over the years. And, especially, for becoming, last summer, the godfather of the Casa Pipa project. A crucial initiative that offers temporary residence to families from non-capital islands whose children receive oncohematological treatment in Gran Canaria.

From the Líneas Romero Foundation, grateful for the gesture, they take the opportunity to congratulate the rest of the winners during the gala, which were Fundación Unión Deportiva Las Palmas, the Isleta Extrem sports event (organized by the Regimiento de Infantería Canarias 50), Colegio Atlantic School, Consejería de Deportes del Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the Club Rutas Culturales por Canarias en Deportivos.

The gala, organized by the Fundación Canaria Pequeño Valiente with the support of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, reaffirmed its commitment to solidarity, managing to mobilize Canarian society. The funds raised will allow to continue developing essential projects for the little brave ones who fight every day against cancer, on this occasion the Gran Gala sought to raise funds that will be used for the construction of the Complejo Andamana Pequeño Valiente, a fundamental project to provide comprehensive care to families with sick children.

Commitment to local talent

In addition to the commitment to the health and healthy leisure of the Canarians, the Líneas Romero Foundation is firmly committed to innovation and the human capital of the archipelago. Thus, it recalls that the period to submit proposals in this second edition of the Sustainable Talent Awards is still open. Its objective is none other than to promote innovation and socially responsible entrepreneurship, generate sustainable products and services and promote compliance with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
