The judge has ordered the imprisonment of the young man arrested last Friday in Punta Mujeres as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking offense, within the framework of operation "Norte," as reported by the National Police.
It was the Narcotics Group of the Local Brigade of Judicial Police of the Local Police Station of Arrecife who initiated the investigation, allowing agents to obtain evidence about the detainee's alleged involvement in the distribution of relevant quantities of cocaine on the island, for which a police operation was established to verify his activity.
During the operation, investigators intercepted the vehicle driven by the suspect and located three packages inside that contained approximately three kilograms of cocaine, proceeding at that moment to his arrest.
As a continuation of the actions, and with prior judicial authorization, two entries and searches were carried out in properties linked to the investigated individual, where agents seized slightly more than an additional kilogram of cocaine and 25,000 euros in cash, the vast majority hidden inside a freezer.
The operation has so far resulted in the seizure of approximately four kilograms of cocaine, 25,000 euros in cash, and a vehicle.
