The Unit against violence against women of the Directorate of the General State Administration organized a meeting with educational centers of Lanzarote, Educational Inspection, the State Security Forces and Bodies and the Island Directorate of Education to "assess and analyze" the master plan for coexistence and improvement of the security of educational centers and their environments.
One of the objectives of the meeting is to continue with the measures aimed at raising awareness, detecting and preventing early risk situations related to the safety of children and adolescents in schools, as well as strengthening police cooperation with educational authorities to improve coexistence in educational environments," said Pedro Viera, Island Director of the General State Administration in Lanzarote.
"We are concerned about issues that put the freedom and security of minors at risk, such as bullying, problems derived from addictions, the prevention of discrimination based on sex or violence against women, or the latest risks that threaten youth, related to harassment and cyberbullying and the production of pornographic material," says Viera.
"Therefore, educational and training activities aimed at students and the educational community, taught by expert police professionals in the field, will be promoted, for which we have the collaboration of all those responsible for education on the island," concluded the Island Director of the State Administration in Lanzarote.
