The San Bartolomé City Council continues to take steps towards the goal of semi-pedestrianizing the urban center of San Bartolomé without giving up parking spaces. That is why the council has put out to tender the adaptation of a municipal property plot for the creation of a public parking lot on a thousand-meter plot, located on Párroco San Martín street, next to Plaza León y Castillo, which seeks to provide service in the area of the City Hall, the Church, the Theater and the Post Office.

The project contemplates the creation of 37 parking spaces, including PMR spaces (spaces for people with reduced mobility) and also spaces for electric vehicles with the possibility of recharging. The councilor of the area, Marlene Romero Machín, values "more than positively that the government group continues the marked route, providing the urban center of San Bartolomé with the longed-for parking spaces. An objective that we are also going to fulfill in Playa Honda and will alleviate the needs of citizens in both points of the municipality."

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez Martín, explains that "this action of the San Bartolomé consistory seeks to serve the citizens by converting a plot, currently in land, into a properly paved and illuminated parking lot, giving the center of the population needed parking spaces without giving up our goal of semi-pedestrianizing the urban center," concludes the mayor.

Interested companies may submit their offers until October 13, 2023. The estimated value of the contract amounts to the amount of "124,503.11 euros" (taxes included) and has a term of two months by ordinary processing and simplified open procedure.
