A baby camel forced to carry tourists in Timanfaya

The company Echadero de Los Camellos in Timanfaya wanted to apologize after being questioned about the treatment of a baby camel after a video was leaked in which they used this specimen to carry tourists.

After many Lanzarote residents echoed this on social networks and the company received much criticism in this regard, its administrator has admitted his guilt: "It got out of hand," he confesses.

The man acknowledges the facts, "the damage is done, but I want to take responsibility for my mistake." He makes it clear that "that face is not the one that represents us" and that "the other camel drivers have nothing to do with it, the mistake was mine," he says.

He says he feels repentant, "what happened leads me to learn from this mistake and not make it again." In addition, he anticipates that "it is time to wait to know the decision taken by the City Council", since the Consistory has announced that "measures will be taken" and that "a file has already been opened to determine the appropriate sanction", confirm from the Yaiza City Council.

He acknowledges his guilt, wishing that "I was the only one affected", while still wanting "things to calm down for the good of all", he concludes.
