The Cabildo of Lanzarote celebrates the participation of the Lanzarote Moda designers in the Madrid Fashion Week. The Auditorium of the Serrería Belga in the Spanish capital was the scene this Tuesday of an applauded participation of Canarias Islas de Moda, with the presence of seven professionals from Lanzarote design

Up to 24 brands from the Canary Islands have participated in this event organized by Madrid es Moda, among which were María Cao, Angie Vásquez, Noemíscarte, Migongo, Macaronesia, Ángel Cabrera and Oswaldo Machín, authentic representatives of Lanzarote's talent. This participation has been possible thanks to the initiative of the Government of the Canary Islands through Proexca, and jointly with the councils of Lanzarote, La Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

The Minister of Industry of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, expressed his satisfaction for this participation. "It is an honor to see how the talent and creativity of our islands are presented in such an important scenario as Madrid," he said. "Their presence has not only reinforced the cultural identity of the Canary Islands, but also positions our creators in the map of national and international fashion," said the Minister.

For the organization of this event, the support and collaboration of Madrid es Moda has been counted on, possible thanks to ACME and Madrid Capital de Moda, an initiative of the Madrid City Council through its government area of Economy, Innovation and Finance.

A joint strategy

This joint Canarian strategy is allowing synergies between the brands to be created, promoting a climate of collaboration that facilitates business growth. Thus, after the catwalk, a tasting of Canarian products was offered in a networking event where possible commercialization agreements were discussed.

Miguel Ángel Jiménez has reiterated that the Cabildo of Lanzarote is committed to sustainable development and conscious fashion, aligned with the consolidated trends in the global panorama. "This allows us to show the Canarian offer in terms of design and commitment to sustainability," he added.

Remember that through the Strategic Plan of the Fashion Sector between Proexca and the fashion programs Lanzarote Moda, Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, Tenerife Moda and Isla Bonita Moda, the promotion of a joint strategy of national and international projection of the Canarian brands of the sector is sought.
