The Department of Crafts of the Island Council announces the opening of the new phase of applications for the artisan card. This process, which seeks to promote the development and visibility of artisan professionals on the island, will be open until September 30.
The island's president, Oswaldo Betancort, highlights the dynamism and diversity of the artisan sector in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. "We are experiencing a moment of great boom for crafts in our region, and this card is an essential tool to support and promote the sector," he highlights.
The Councilor of the Area, Aroa Revelo, emphasizes the importance of this voluntary accreditation. "We offer this union the opportunity to access this certification twice a year, which allows them to obtain the recognition their work deserves and facilitate their access to resources," she explains, recalling that, currently, there are 380 artisans registered who have an artisan card on the island.
To apply for the artisan card, interested parties must submit a request addressed to the Cabildo of Lanzarote, along with the required documentation explained on the website itself.
