The Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism have put an end to the queues that formed at the entrance to the Cueva de los Verdes after implementing the sale of online tickets and by time slots on a definitive basis.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, and the Entity's councillor, Ángel Vázquez, visited the center this morning to assess the results of an operation that "puts an end to waiting, organizes the flow of visitors and reduces the impact of the human footprint on the space." "It is the result of our commitment to this island, to its future, and to the well-being of those who visit us and those who inhabit it," said Betancort, who also congratulated the councillor and his team for the work done to "resolve a situation that damaged the image of the island."
Once the trial period is over, a more modern, comfortable and sustainable operation is now fully operational, "which has allowed us to put an end to queues and waiting and, at the same time, offer a higher quality experience to our visitors," explained councillor Ángel Vázquez.
This "success" constitutes a "milestone" that opens the doors to a new scenario for the Entity. In this sense, he has announced that "we are already working to adapt this management system to the reality of each center and put an end to this historical problem."
A new way to discover the Cave
The new operation allows you to choose the visit to the Cueva de los Verdes by quotas and time slots distributed every 15 minutes throughout the day. "It is a new way to discover the Cueva de los Verdes, a different experience thanks to a solution that allows us to streamline the flow of visitors and offer a full, more personalized, quiet and peaceful visit, as our workers and collaborators have conveyed to us," said Vázquez.
