The Canary Islands Little Brave Foundation celebrated last Friday, February 27, 2026, the first edition of its Mini Olympics at the Lanzarote Sports City, a sporting and solidarity event that brought together different schools on the island with the aim of promoting healthy lifestyle habits and raising awareness of childhood cancer.

During the encounter, the students participated in various physical tests such as high jump, sprint, relay race, shot put, among others. The activity promoted not only sports practice, but also teamwork. In addition, a healthy Gymkhana was organized, reinforcing the importance of a balanced diet as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.

One of the most emotional moments of the day was the golden ribbon activity, international symbol of the fight against childhood cancer. Each student wrote a motivational phrase dedicated to the boys, girls and families who are experiencing this situation, creating a large collective ribbon as a sign of support.

From the Foundation, this first edition has been very positively valued. Both the students and the teachers enjoyed a day full of energy, camaraderie and learning, thus fulfilling the purpose of combining fun, education and social awareness.

The Canarian Little Brave Foundation wishes to especially thank Juan Monzón for the cession of the Sports City; SPAR Lanzarote for the donation of water and fruit for the event; and the faculty and students of TSEAS of IES Blas Cabrera Felipe for their involvement and help in the organization and development of each of the tests.

The Foundation also thanks the involvement of all participating educational centers and hopes to be able to consolidate this initiative in future editions.
