The Creciendo Social Association begins 2024 with a focus on raising awareness of inclusive sports. To this end, it has designed an exclusive t-shirt to support the cause, which it has put on sale for 15 euros and whose total proceeds will go to the projects it has underway, thanks to the "disinterested" collaboration of several companies on the island that have "covered the costs" of its production.
With a colorful design, this first batch of t-shirts has a total of 100 units in blue and one hundred in yellow, and can be purchased at the Arrecife and Playa Blanca locations, at sports and/or solidarity events in which the association participates, or by contacting [email protected].
The association "encourages" all Lanzarote residents to "get one of these t-shirts" to demonstrate their "commitment" to inclusive sports and "especially to wear it", says the director of the association Ligia Molnar, "since the primary objective of the t-shirt is to give more visibility to inclusion in the world of sports so that Creciendo Yaiza occupies the space it deserves".
"Fundraising is a very sensitive issue for any non-profit organization because public funding sometimes arrives late. In addition, with the pandemic, donations fell sharply and it is something that is costing to recover," says Molnar, who stresses that "this 2024 we are giving a boost to other fundraising campaigns that we always have in place, such as solidarity piggy banks in collaborating establishments, participation with stands at events or making bank transfers".
Tax deductions for donations to NGOs
In this sense, and taking advantage of the fact that a new fiscal year is beginning as well as the proximity of the income tax campaign of the past year, the association reminds all its collaborators, and taxpayers in general, of the tax deductions for donations to NGOs to which they are entitled, which can be from 80%, in the case of individuals up to "250 euros of donation", or up to 50% in the case of legal entities provided that in the previous 2 years a donation has been made to the same entity for at least the same amount.
The Creciendo Social Association works with children and young people with functional diversity and their families from the perspective of inclusion, offering, in addition to therapies and advice, inclusive extracurricular activities.
