Baleària Canarias will renovate three ships in its fleet over the next three months with the aim of improving the onboard customer experience and adapting the ships to the quality standards of the Baleària group. These initial actions include the improvement of interior and exterior spaces on the fast ferries Volcán de Taidía and Volcán de Tagoro, and the ferry Volcán de Tinamar. The renovations are part of the 45 million euro investment plan that the shipping company plans to allocate over the next three years to modernize its fleet in the Canary Islands.
Specifically, the fast ferries Volcán de Taidía and Volcán de Tagoro, which operate on the triangular route connecting Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Morro Jable, will begin work in mid-November and December, respectively. Both ships will have their passenger and dining areas renovated to offer more comfortable spaces, in addition to updating the hull with the corporate visual identity of Baleària Canarias.
For its part, the ferry Volcán de Tinamar, which covers the connection between Cádiz and the Canary Islands, will be renovated without altering its schedule. The work will continue the renovations started in the summer, and includes the renewal of passenger areas with premium category seats and a general improvement of onboard services.
With this renovation program, Baleària Canarias seeks to bring the features of these acquired ships in line with the demanding quality standards of the Group, such as the new fast ferries Mercedes Pinto or Pepita Castellví, which have been the best rated in the shipping group's fleet. The fleet modernization program of Baleària Canarias will continue in the coming months with work on other ships.
