A mistreated dog is rescued in a house in Arrecife

The Civil Guard has begun an investigation to clarify the facts

A dog, apparently mistreated, was rescued this Tuesday in a house in Arrecife, after a joint operation by Seprona and the Local Police of the capital.

The Civil Guard has launched an investigation to clarify the situation in which the animal was found.

Local agents were activated during that day by the Nature Protection Service of the Civil Guard (Seprona) after a warning about the possible existence of a case of animal abuse.

It was the Association for the Defense Against Animal Abuse of Lanzarote (Ademal), in principle, in charge of alerting Seprona. "We informed them and they in turn contacted the Local Police of Arrecife," the association says.

After the warning, the "animal was rescued from this hell in one day," Ademal emphasizes. At the moment, the dog is already safe in the Animal Welfare Center of Arrecife, where they take care of its attention and care.
