Violence once again overshadows a football match in Lanzarote. A match played between Club de Fútbol Puerto del Carmen (PDC) and Unión Deportiva Valterra, of the Lanzarote First Regional category, ended in blows on Friday night on the island.
The match was played at the municipal field of Puerto del Carmen, Manuel Arrocha García, at 9:00 p.m. According to images and testimonies accessed by La Voz, at one point during the match, a conflict between both squads ended with several players getting involved and even with aggressions between members of the fans and the players of one of the teams.
In the midst of this situation, three agents of the Local Police of Tías, part of the technical team of the clubs and some players tried to appease without success. One of the agents even had to go to the health center.
The City Council of Tías has lamented that "in these times, these shows of violence occur."
