A vehicle overturned on Tuesday night on the LZ-2 road, on the section that connects Arrecife with Playa Blanca, near the municipality of Yaiza. The incident occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. and was attended by the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium after being alerted by the CECOES.
According to the official report, upon arriving at the scene of the accident, the emergency teams found the two occupants of the vehicle already outside of it. One of them had minor injuries and was treated at the scene by the health services before being transferred to Dr. José Molina Orosa Hospital. The second occupant did not require medical assistance.
As part of the security protocol, the firefighters proceeded to disconnect the vehicle's battery and mark the area with barricade tape to prevent additional risks.
The Yaiza Local Police and the Civil Guard were in charge of security on the road and coordinating traffic during the intervention. After completing the work at the scene, the teams returned to the fire station, leaving the area under control.
