A driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a lamppost, knocking it down in Arrecife, according to the Emergency Consortium. The accident took place on Granada street around 5:32 AM this Wednesday, April 8.
After CECOES was alerted, agents of the Local Police and firefighters moved to the scene. Emergency personnel confirmed that the lamppost had fallen as a consequence of the accident.
The personnel proceeded to the removal of the structure, the isolation of the electrical cables and the cleaning of the road, where remains of the involved vehicle were also removed.
Once these tasks were finished and their presence not being necessary, the interveners deemed the service concluded and returned to their base.
