The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria issued a message of reassurance on Thursday morning, urging the university community to return to normal and resume its academic activities.

According to sources from the institution confirmed to La Voz, a single Faculty, that of Legal Sciences, had its activity interrupted on the morning of November 27th after a supposed bomb threat was received in several student corporate emails. However, a statement from the National Police spoke of the evacuation of "some faculties" due to the threat.

According to the first informational bulletin from the National Police, released shortly before 11:00 AM this Thursday, the police force activated the established protocol after receiving a threat on the Tarifa campus, in the capital of Gran Canaria. This very morning, various units of the National Police, including Citizen Security personnel, Police Intervention Units (UIP), and the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), were deployed to the campus.

The possible email, which official sources have not confirmed

A few minutes after this threat was made known on the Canary Islands university campus, a message began to circulate on social media, claiming it was the email received by around forty students.

The content of the message disseminated on social media is as follows: "I am from the Canary Islands and a member of group 764, and this Thursday I will go to carry out a massacre at the ULPGC. I will go armed with my AK-47s to shoot as many 'godos' as possible and then I will commit suicide as part of a blood sacrifice for my lord Achaman-Satanas, thus bringing about the awakening of the Atlantean Guanche race and the independence of Taknara. I claim the MPAIAC, because despite being left-wing, they were the only ones who knew how to fight for the survival of our superior Guanche race. From the Canary Islands, the New Atlantis that once was long ago will rise, the Guanche solar race will awaken again! Long live Free Canarias and Hail Achaman-Satanas!".

To date, neither the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, nor the Government Delegation, nor the National Police have confirmed to La Voz that this text corresponds to the email received by the students on Thursday morning, or if, on the contrary, it is a new hoax spread online.
