Two young people injured with varying degrees of severity after being run over on Rambla Medular

Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene, which transported the injured to the Hospital José Molina Orosa

Two young people, aged 17 and 18, have been injured with varying degrees of severity after being run over this Tuesday on Rambla Medular in Arrecife, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES).

The events occurred around 08:08 hours, when the 112 received a call reporting the incident. Emergency services quickly moved to the scene with a medicalized ambulance and another basic life support ambulance.

Personnel from the Canary Emergency Service, along with healthcare personnel from the Valterra Health Center, assisted the affected individuals at the scene. 

One of the injured is a 17-year-old young man who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented with a severe head trauma, for which he was transferred by a SUC medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

The other injured person is an 18-year-old woman who suffered moderate head trauma and was also transferred by a SUC basic life support ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

For its part, the Local Police of Arrecife was in charge of regulating traffic and carrying out the corresponding investigations.
