Two people died after being run over on a pedestrian crossing on Avenida de las Palmeras in Costa Teguise this Thursday. The tragic event took place around 9:45 p.m. They are a man and a woman who did not have documentation at the time of the accident, so their ages or nationality have not been revealed.
Once the alert was received at 112, several agents from the Teguise Local Police and two ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were transferred to the scene. The medical personnel were in charge of providing first aid to the victims.
In the case of the man, he died at the scene, without the doctors being able to do anything for his life. The woman was seriously injured. Upon the arrival of the paramedics, she presented severe polytrauma. She died upon arrival at the Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife, after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest from which she could not be recovered. The Local Police were in charge of preparing the corresponding report.
