Agents of the National Police Corps of the Local Police Station of Maspalomas have proceeded to arrest Roberto M. L., 36 years old, from San Bartolomé, and Antonio M.S., 25 years old and from Las Palmas, as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime.
These individuals had been under investigation as it was known that they could be engaged in cultivation and sale of marijuana.
On the 19th and once the suspicions were confirmed by the agents, the so-called Roberto was arrested in Maspalomas, when he was carrying a bag of 100 grams of marijuana, after having made a sale of the aforementioned substance in that locality.
The police, provided with an Entry and Search Warrant, went to his home, a house with a farm located next to the Soria Dam, where a large quantity of marijuana seeds, the same plant dried and prepared for consumption, seedbeds with plants of about three centimeters for transplantation, as well as plants of said drug in different states of development (from several centimeters to two meters) that were being cultivated in the plot surrounding the house were seized.
Roberto M. L. had been arrested on four previous occasions, two of them for drug trafficking and the other individual, the aforementioned Antonio Cristo, worked for Roberto helping him in the cultivation, and was arrested during the search, verifying that he had a pending Arrest Warrant with 24 previous arrests for crimes against property.
The Police are investigating the origin of various motorcycles, vehicles and parts of these, which were found in the place.
The detainees were placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court number eight, on duty, of those of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
