The Tías Civil Guard arrested three people early this Wednesday with initials A.C.A. (34 years old), Y.S.A. (21) and C.J.R.S. (37), all men with numerous police records, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health for carrying 219 grams of marijuana in the vehicle where they were traveling.
The intervention began around 01:40 hours on Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, when a Civil Guard patrol stopped a large-cylinder vehicle with three people inside.
According to the Benemérita, the agents suspected the occupants given the police records they presented, so they carried out a superficial search of them and the vehicle, finding inside a sports bag with four plastic bags containing marijuana. As none of the occupants admitted to being the owner of the narcotic substance, the three were immediately arrested for a crime against public health.
The detainees and the seized drug have been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court on duty in Arrecife.
