Three people have been arrested in Lanzarote, two of them accused of cultivating, storing and preparing the marijuana plant for sale. The third detainee is accused of covering up the crime.

As reported in a press release, the agents became aware that a foreign couple had been engaged in drug trafficking for some time, using their home in the town of Teguise as a place to carry out this illegal activity, both for cultivation, storage and preparation for the sale of the aforementioned substance.

After requesting an entry and search warrant, which was granted by the Investigating Court number four of Arrecife, the amount of 7.7 kilos of "Cannabis Sativa" (marijuana) was obtained.

During this search, according to the agents, the detainee called the landlady of another house he had rented, instructing her to remove the drugs hidden in it. When the police arrived at the scene, they claim to have located the woman "in flagrante delicto", with two garbage bags full of the aforementioned drug.

Therefore, another entry and search of the new address was requested, which was authorized by the detainee, finding in it the amount of 10.6 kilos of the aforementioned drug and several artisanal elements as greenhouses to favor the cultivation of said drug.

In total, 18.3 kilos of marijuana were seized and three arrests were made: J.P, 51 years old of Polish origin, S.S., 46 years old of German origin, and E.D.B., 58 years old of German origin, who this Wednesday have been placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court number 4 of Arrecife.
