The cars had been rented and were parked in a parking lot near a hotel in the southern town. This robbery occurred in the early hours of Monday to Tuesday. However, the sector emphasizes that it has not been the only one. At least one other company has suffered it recently and the car rental companies denounce that it has become a "systematic" practice.
In this last case, it was the company's workers, who have their offices very close to the parking lot where the cars were, who discovered what happened first thing in the morning, before the travelers who had rented them realized. Upon realizing the theft, and to "avoid the bad image of the destination", the company tried to replace the wheels of these Smart Four Four "as soon as possible" and also filed a complaint.
