The young man injured by a knife in a fight in Playa Blanca and who had to be transferred to the Doctor Negrín Hospital of Gran Canaria to undergo surgery has already been discharged. However, the Civil Guard has confirmed that he has not reported the events, so no arrest has been made despite having identified the aggressor.
It was in the early hours of last Friday when the fight took place, which, according to what the Civil Guard agents were able to collect at the scene and the first statements of the victim, who was already in the health center when the agents intervened, was a discussion between two men of foreign nationality, which took place in the Papagayo Shopping Center, and which resulted in an attack with a knife.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was later transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital with various injuries, although, despite the fact that the Cecoes reported that his condition was serious, the Civil Guard stated that he only had defensive cuts and that his injuries were not serious. After the attack, the Benemérita also stated that they had identified the aggressor. However, they were waiting for the victim to file the corresponding complaint in order to proceed with his arrest. And it is that, as explained from the Guarda from the Benemérita, the events would be classified as a crime of injuries and, as such, the agents could only act after a complaint, which has not finally been filed despite the fact that the victim has already been discharged from the hospital. However, as La Voz already reported, the Civil Guard carried out some prevention proceedings, which were transferred to the Court.
