The woman who was seriously injured in the accident that occurred in the Coso de Carnaval has left the ICU of the José Molina Orosa Hospital and was transferred this Monday to traumatology of the same hospital. In traumatology, where she will remain for a while, she will be treated by "neurologists and neurosurgeons" for cranial fractures and cervical damage suffered. According to sources close to the woman, at this time "she is stable within the severity".

The victim, a sanitary emergency technician who collaborated in the security and emergency device of the Coso, has cervical injuries, with two vertebrae damaged "considerably", so doctors estimate that she may have to wear a corset to treat this trauma for a period of about three months. In addition, according to relatives of the woman, she should undergo different eye tests since the blow she suffered to the head caused her four fractures in the skull as well as some bruises in it.

The accident, in which another woman who also collaborated in the security and emergency device was injured, occurred in the early morning of Tuesday, February 28 when the floats were being removed. According to the same sources, the accident occurred when a crane carrying a float on top, touched a cable "that was provisionally laid for the Carnival event". The power line cable and the pole to which it was attached fell, hitting the two women. According to sources close to the victim who remains admitted to the José Molina Orosa Hospital, apparently the pole "was not correctly placed" but apparently "tied with a rope to a booth".

The woman's relatives have lamented that there has not been greater transparency about how the events occurred. Similarly, they have pointed out that they have missed the fact that municipal representatives, apart from the first hours, are interested in the condition of the injured woman.
