The IES of Teguise suffered this weekend acts of vandalism in nine of its classrooms, as confirmed by the educational center. In addition, La Villa was the scene on Halloween night of other damages caused to vehicles and homes, as reported by residents and confirmed by the City Council.
"They haven't stolen anything but they have caused great damage," they have conveyed from the IES Teguise, from where they have detailed that the vandals "mainly broke the glass of the windows." "They also threw a computer on the ground although it is not destroyed, it turns on," they added.
The damages also caused that the students who give class in these nine classrooms could not access them first thing in the morning this Monday, having to remain in the patio until the Civil Guard inspected the damaged classrooms and collected fingerprints.

"The Civil Guard came at 08:30 hours and told us not to touch anything, but it was quite fast and since they took the first fingerprints, we immediately ran, cleaned and they were incorporated," they explained from the IES of Teguise.
Other acts of vandalism in La Villa
In this regard, a citizen has also addressed this Monday to La Voz to denounce that "some young people" had damaged "a whole row of cars parked near the Cejas restaurant and surroundings" and that they had "thrown eggs" in the community of owners San Rafael, in addition to the public school and other cars in various areas".

"The presence of the Local Police was conspicuous by its absence," this neighbor also criticized, who also complained about having to "listen to certain sectors justify that this happens by bringing traditions from outside as if it were not a problem of lack of education and civility of adolescents and their corresponding parents/guardians."

"We believe they are the same people, a group of boys who were riding bicycles", have pointed out for their part from the City Council of Teguise, which states that the damages to vehicles consisted "in the breakage of mirrors" and that an investigation has already been opened to clarify all the acts of vandalism.
