The Senegalese community in Lanzarote, the country of origin of the confessed murderer of the young Italian woman in Puerto del Carmen, has shown its absolute rejection of these events, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. "Mara Serighelli has once again been a victim of gender violence, allegedly dying at the hands of her partner Mor Ndao and leaving an orphaned girl under 1 and a half years old," they said in a statement.
That is why the entire Senegalese community, represented by the Social and Cultural Associations of Senegalese in Lanzarote "Gente Unida" and the Association Mira y Piensa en África, have joined together to express their "pain and sorrow to the family of the victim and, in particular, to the girl."
These Senegalese associations will attend this Thursday afternoon the concentration called by the "Forum Against Gender Violence of Lanzarote", which will take place at 7:00 p.m. in front of the old Cabildo, on Calle Real, in Arrecife.
They have also prepared other events to condemn this death, which will be held in the Altavista mosque from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
