The prisoner from the Tahíche prison who escaped this past Wednesday while giving a talk at an educational center in Lanzarote has not yet been arrested

The inmate R.C.M., who was offering, along with other prisoners, a presentation on reintegration into society, took advantage of a change between classes to jump over the fence of the IES Costa Teguise and run away. The prisoner belonged to the Educational Therapeutic Unit (UTE), as La Voz reported this Wednesday.

Specifically, the educational talk was an awareness presentation about his experience in prison, the importance of not committing crimes, and social reintegration.

It was a teacher from the center who noticed that a man dressed "in dark clothes" was jumping over the fence and immediately informed the center. Meanwhile, the worker who was supervising the inmate realized that he had disappeared and began searching for him around the center.
