Agents of the National Police carried out a raid in Arrecife on Tuesday morning. The events occurred around 7:00 a.m. on Menéndez Pelayo street No. 6, in the Altavista neighborhood, in the capital of Lanzarote.
As published by LaProvincia, the agents entered the house to carry out a search, which lasted "more than five hours." Subsequently, at least four people came out in handcuffs (specifically, two men and two women), according to the residents of the area. In addition, the police also left the house with several seized boxes.
Finally, access to the property was sealed off by order of the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Arrecife.
Citizens who witnessed the operation added that "several girls left with their suitcases from inside." A detail that makes some point out that "prostitution could be practiced" in the property. Residents in the adjoining houses assure that "many men come to that house daily", according to what the witnesses have seen continuously.
