The National Police of Arrecife is investigating the discovery of a corpse inside a caravan that suffered a fire in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday in the capital. However, everything points to the fire being accidental.
Apparently, according to the residents of the area, this person was a homeless person who had been living inside this caravan for approximately one year. He worked as a car washer in one of the lots in the capital of Lanzarote.
Around 2:15 a.m., the residents saw the fire and alerted 112, who communicated these facts to the firefighters of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium. It was when extinguishing the fire that the firefighters realized that there was a lifeless body inside the caravan.
The firefighters also point out that this fire was accidental and believe that it could have occurred while the man was sleeping.
After the removal of the body, the lifeless body of this man has been transferred to the forensic anatomical center, where the relevant tests will be carried out. As the body is charred, DNA tests would be necessary to confirm the identity, although it is taken for granted that the deceased is the person who occupied that caravan.
