The teenager who was run over on Saturday afternoon on the Arrecife exit to San Bartolomé was 14 years old. As La Voz de Lanzarote has learned, he is in critical condition and is struggling between life and death.

The accident occurred at 7:38 p.m., when the Emergency Coordinating Center was alerted. Local Police officers and a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service went to the scene.

The health personnel assessed and assisted the injured young man, who presented various serious injuries, and, once stabilized, transferred him to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

Thus, the 14-year-old teenager is a user of the Casa del Marino children's center in Arrecife.
