Agents of the Local Police of Tías rescued this Monday a litter of newborn kittens that were "abandoned" on the edge of the Peña del Gato road, which connects the Tías-Conil road.
It was a neighbor who alerted the Local Police to the presence of the kittens, and a patrol was sent to the place. Once there, the agents found the felines, which had been deposited inside a shoebox on the side of the road. The agents rescued the kittens, still with their umbilical cords, and transferred them to the municipal facilities.
Applying the protocol as they were mammalian animals in lactation, the officer of the Local Police, Roberto Aparicio, acted jointly receiving the collaboration of the Animal Protection and Environment Unit of the Local Police of Arrecife, who was in charge of evacuating the kittens to the facilities of the Sara Animal Protection Society for the assessment of the veterinarian of this NGO and their subsequent custody in these facilities, where they received the first care and bottles.
